Sir David Carnegie of Pitarrow, 4th Baronet FRS FRSE (22 November 1753 – 25 May 1805)〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Leigh Rayment - Baronetage )〕 was a Scottish politician and de jure 7th Earl of Southesk, 7th Baron Carnegie of Kinnaird and 7th Baron Carnegie, of Kinnaird and Leuchars.
==Background==
He was born in Kincardineshire〔https://www.royalsoced.org.uk/cms/files/fellows/biographical_index/fells_indexp1.pdf〕 the oldest son of Sir James Carnegie, 3rd Baronet and his wife Christian Doig (d.1820), daughter of David Doig. In 1765, aged only twelve, Carnegie succeeded his father as baronet and de jure as Earl of Southesk.〔 He was educated at Eton College, the University of St Andrews and Christ Church, Oxford.
